The cable cars are part of the Metro, not a theme-park ride, even when the view makes you forget that. Lines K and J use a normal Metro fare, 4,400 COP for a single trip in 2026. Line L, from Santo Domingo up to Parque Arví, is the tourist line: 26,700 COP for foreign visitors in 2026, 9:00 to 18:00, and it does not run on Tuesdays.
The lines

The Metrocable was the first cable car used as mass transit, built to connect hillside barrios.

|---|---|---|
| K | Acevedo to Santo Domingo | Metro fare |

Riding Line K and L

Take Line A to Acevedo, change to Line K up to Santo Domingo, then change again to Line L for Arví. Line L runs from 9:00 to 18:00 and does not run on Tuesdays. See Parque Arví.
Tips
- Go early on weekends or you will queue.
- Sit facing downhill for the view.
- Cars can pause in high wind or storms. That is the system being sensible, not a personal insult.
